Hey guys. Have any of you ever lost boost pressure on the top end? I was doing a 4th gear pull when around 7000rpm boost pressure dropped to 4psi. Afterwards, I tapped the throttle to check for boost and got nothing out of the bypass, but I did hear a very short squealing noise. I pulled over to check all the intercooler pipes and made sure the rotrex was still spinning. Nothing out of the ordinary. I drove the car for a moment while the SC continued to not make any boost pressure then suddenly boost pressure came back.
This made me think the bypass valve got stuck open, but iirc the pressure being built by the C38 is sufficient to hold the bypass valve closed during WOT. So I'm currently at a loss. Any ideas? |

I deleted the log already =( . It only happened that one time so far, but then again I don't really do 4th gear pulls often.

Nevermind. Belt broke. There was a pretty big chunk of teeth missing, which is what I must have felt. It must have been holding on for dear life for the passed 6 days. So much for talking crap about how long my belt lasted.

Add me the owners! Mine came in this week, installing next Friday.
I got the kit with ecutek, lic and tune. Anyone that got this, is this tune locked? I have a UEGO wideband in my second O2 port and want to be able to turn off the CEL. I'm going from OFT to ECUTEK so learning the UI. I noticed some of the documentation varies from the newest update causing slight learning curve. |

Does anyone know why the Rotrex can't be turned counter(anti)clockwise other than it not compressing air? I searched for a while last night and really can't find any info other than "don't do it!" Why not Rotrex? You tell me not to take the blue pill but then you won't tell me what it does.

No idea but why are you wanting to? Have you tried contacting Rotrex about it? I assume you did but figured I'd ask that too. |

Well isn't the oil pump built into the unit? I have a feeling it has a lot to do with running a liquid pump backwards especially through a scavenge type system possibly oil starving the unit depending on what you are doing and for how long. |

I don't need to run it counter clockwise, I'm looking for more of an operational explanation. I guess I could just call them on Monday.

That's what I was thinking too, but why make such a big fuss over turning it even a little bit when changing out the pulley?
