Shouldn't you be more upset with Tire Rack on how they are handling the situation?

The problem is you ordered the China made ones, not the Japanese ones.

Even by enthusiast's standards I'd say I'm pretty anal about these kinds of things, and this probably wouldn't bother me. Maybe it looks worse in person...
They are bolted on the car. The gray area you see around the gray lugbolt cover. The wheels are on the car when the picture are taken.

Sorry, comprehension fail on my part...long day. You're definitely justified with your disappointment in the quality.

OP you could have emailed Tirerack this picture straight off their webpage, and accuse them of bait and switch (isn't this a felony idk).

More than likely the rep is just a phone jockey who really doesn't know much about the wheels. It's no different than any other phone based customer service. *2 cents*

As for the 4th wheel which appears to be correct...ever thought THAT one may have too much paint and be the actual mistake?

The internet is just incredible.... The above is really what OP is asking for...

BUT here we are, arguing how/when/why/what he NEEDS to do about the situation....

Would this be more of an issue with black-painted (or gold-painted) wheels?
I would suspect the basic silver ones wouldn't exhibit this issue?

Recently got some NT03+Ms, fully painted no issues.

Also talked to the enkei reps extensively regarding their lineup- I can tell you they appeared to me to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Sounds like most of your issue is with Tirerack. Also I don't think you really need a 50k/yr account with Enkei to be a dealer. In fact quite the opposite, quite a few small time shops around me carry enkei wheels at similar to online prices. Having a relationship with the north America distributors is pretty important if you're running a business imo- it lets you get more accountability out of them.

Havin a local shop having a price close to an internet shop doesn't mean you are direct with enkei. It means the distribution is better and since there is a MAP policy you won't find price below a certain cost.

Anyhow, price is not the point, nor those the way a business in canada, ordering parts from the US, using some channel of distribution is the point. I could make a topic on that and explain the way this industry work to about anyone, and also point the difference between canadian customer/shop and typical us customer/shop. But here this is not the point. You are right about the accountability, but pricing structure dictate otherwise. Enkei prefer to have 10 wholesaler who's gonna take care of 300 dealer. Which is normal..
