The Great Hatch vs Trunk Debate
I noticed this has always been a topic of argument so I figured I'd start a thread (since there's been no news from Toyota lately). I know people are very passionate towards either a hatch or a trunk, much the way they are passionate for Toyota or Subaru; so I figured this could also be a bit of a social experiment (hence the poll).

i want a scion with hatch, but i think its going to be trunk.
look at this pic: see the borders of the rear glass? way too thin to have supports behind them like the 2011 tC also notice how large the top border is, because behind that is the support and hinge. 370Z also has a large top border A7 large side borders 2012 Beetle side borders Mini Coupe side border so the scion should have both large side and top borders, except i just dont see it... Hatch would be nice, if the body stays stiff. I bet it will be a trunk though, which is fine by me.

+1
I wish it was a hatch too but I have a feeling it's going similar to the MKI style.

Rather have a hatch but as long as I can fit a set of racing wheel/tires in the back I'll be happy.

Whichever one comes with a hatch gets my money. Scion or Subaru doesn't really matter to me.
Only reason I voted Suby with a hatch is because we've seen the Toyota/Scion and it's not a hatch. We have no idea what the suby will look like. One way to differentiate it slightly from it's Scion sibling would be for the Subaru to be a hatch. |

The STI has flip-flopped between a truck and a hatch so part of me is hoping for that 1%!

I think they will go with the lightest option, trunk.

Subaru with a hatch, but I think it will be a trunk. The hatch on the tC rocks. Actually now that I think about it, a RWD tC would be a lot more like the ae86 corolla than the ft86 is.
