USB MP3's & ID Tags

Hello everyone I recently got my '15 frs and I promptly moved my old vehicles usb loaded with all my music, which was from an after market pioneer head unit. I figured the stereo in the frs would read the music the same way my aftermarket head unit would. My previous head unit read them essentially just like you see on your computer. Which ever folder I created and any songs I added were in that folder. To my surprise all my music was sorted by artist album etc. I know that is more than likely the way every other stereo may be but coming from the after market pioneer that had the option to read the files based on file structure I tried looking for a work around.

I then researched and found a free software called mp3tag that would allow me to edit all the tag information for all my mp3's. The program is simple to use and allows quick batch editing. I decided to just organize all my music by artist or soundtrack. For example all of my Tool music, regardless of album, has Tool as the album and artist so it will show up as Tool no matter what you search either by artist or album.

Another thing that kinda annoyed me was having the genre images pop up. Some songs would have a genre image that did coincide with the music but others didn't. The software also allowed me to fix this issue. I looked for a jpeg with the required size and resolution, I found a good looking 86 logo and using the program applied it to all the songs in one quick swoop.

Now my music is categorized easier for me to search and no more genre images for songs that don't have the corresponding album art.

I am in no way associated with this software just found it as a nice means to solve my issues and give the car a nice little eye candy with the 86 logo displayed on screen.

The dash is stock it is the same as your model year it just comes vinyl wrapped from the factory. You can order the part but specify it's for 2015 and it'll be the one like mine. There is a thread here that mentions part numbers.
