I was aware of it, but like I said, never happened to me or anyone I know. I think this bit from the article explains a lot.

what they forgot to tell you is that moving your XBOX 360 while it is operational could be hazardous to the health of your disc.

In the IT field I'd say we call that the ID ten T error. Don't move objects that contain discs spinning at high RPM.

I think that is called being a graphics whore/games badly coded. I am still gaming on an OC'ed i7 920, HD 5870, 12 GB DDR3 system that I built back in 2009. Just beat Bioshock Infinite on it a few weeks ago. Beat Borderlands 2 a couple months ago. I have played BF3 on it as well with little issue. Just have to tweak the settings. Nonetheless, it stills looks and plays a lot better than my XBOX 360 and PS3.

As far as which console I will be going for, it is tough to say. Seeing as both companies are going with a more traditional PC like architecture, I do not see why these games could not be easily cross platform, including PC, aside from exclusive titles.

Also, just because one console is more powerful than the other, does not equate to better looking games. It all comes down to who can fully utilize the hardware to its fullest potential. Was the PS3 not claimed to be the most powerful console? Yet, game developers complained about how horrible it was to code on it, therefore, XBOX was able to put out a lot more games.

Seeing as I have been burnt by Microsoft when it comes down to hardware reliability, I think I am going to wait for the hype to be over and see if anyone's console dies within the few first months like the launch XBOX 360s (I should know. I had a day one launch unit that died on me in 3 months and since then, have gone through 3 XBOX 360s. Currently on my 4th one).

Sony, on the other hand, it is hard to say. My original 60 GB PS3 with BC just died on me a month ago. Not too happy with how Sony handles their software (Can't take the old hard drive out of the old PS3 and throw it in a new one and rock on without being told that I need to format it first).

At the end of the day, both consoles have similar specs and both have Blu-Ray drives. I think for most, it will come down to these three things:
1) Fans of the previous gen consoles
2) Controller
3) Exclusive titles

Aside from that, I am just hoping that we will see a rise in more PC games instead of the price of games ( I miss when PC games were $50... not $60 )

Backup! . Does the 360 even let you back up the stuff on the console HD?

Don't need to. You can transfer the hard drive to another console without having to format it, unlike Sony. I have never lost any data on my XBOX 360 since launch *knocks on wood*

Luckily, I had made a backup of my saved games on the PS3 back in January, when my 250 GB hard drive was acting up. So, I only lost saved game data for 1 game, which I wasn't even really that far into

Ah, didn't know that. The trade off is not being able to upgrade the HD at all.

Oh... hmmm I think mine are close to SL 120+ for pvp purposes :/ AND last night my Dark Souls Game save data Corrupted YAY! Instead doing that shit all over again (I had a SL 201 and a SL 90), I'm just going to DL a game save and redo my stats and continue playing... I still haven't even finished the Artorias add on :/

Should I just keep on grinding to get a higher level? lol I also need help with crafting something since I screwed myself over by accidentally killing a blacksmith. Which in turn... bugged my entire game.
