Didn't need a car, so I considered alot of different options. I came closest to buying a still new '11 Ralliart sportback (don't regret not getting it, other than I was going to get it for ~23k) and a '12 WRX hatch (still regret the loss of space, power, and right now - awd, but I don't regret the mpg, and since I'm moving to NoCal, awd will become a non-factor).

I went the other direction took a test drive in a BRZ and loved it but there was a wait to actually get one and it had stuff I personally don't use so I called Toyota and they had an FR-S that I could take that day.

Before either of those I was waiting for the SRT4 dart but the date is still getting pushed back so I'm glad I got what I did.

Wasn't looking for anything when I stumbled on some info about the FR-S online. The more I looked, the more I liked. When June 1st came along, I made some calls and located one at a dealer. Went and looked at it, drove it, and that was it, I was hooked!

Been loving every mile since!

Fiat Abarth, I was looking for something more fuel efficient than my 135i. Specially after I tuned the 135i it was getting 14-18 MPG. But when I got behind the wheel off the FR-S, I was sold! Might not be even remotely close to how fast my BMW was, but the BMW was not even remotely as fun as the FR-S.

I was headed to a Mazda dealer to get the Speed3 only to have a Toyota rep stop by to show off the new FRS. I was sold, cancelled all work on Speed3 and ordered the FRS.

A Prius. My wife and I sat in one and talked all about it (for a couple hours in the dealership parking lot), decided not to get it. We had walked past a Hot Lava FR-S earlier in the day, and though we didnt talk about it right away, about a week later we started looking for one. Then during that process, almost bought a BRZ, but wasnt willing to pay $35,000 for it.

Bought a BRZ, but almost bought a 2013 Mustang V6 with performance package. Thank God everything fell into place and I got the BRZ. It's absolutely rewarding to drive, and I get looks/compliments almost every day.
