inch escape: effects

Hello! I have a question. Using a 3 inch exhaust (70mm) in our car, if you think about putting a turbocharger, is silly, it is a mistake? lose power at low revs?

A 3" exhaust on a naturally aspirated car produces a ton of noise but no significant power difference over 2.5".

Maybe NA but a turbo is a turbo and it's going to have lag regardless. It will increase power up top NA or boosted though as it allows more airflow which is required for high rpm.

Hello pepe .....

It's my understanding that if you plan on installing a turbo, your car would benefit from a 3" exhaust.

If you are not going to turbo, the 2.5" exhaust would be sufficient.

If you now are NA, but plan on going turbo in the future, a 3" exhaust will not significantly reduce the NA performance. However, it may be relatively LOUD.
