inch escape: effects
Hello! I have a question. Using a 3 inch exhaust (70mm) in our car, if you think about putting a turbocharger, is silly, it is a mistake? lose power at low revs?

A 3" exhaust on a naturally aspirated car produces a ton of noise but no significant power difference over 2.5".

It's my understanding that if you plan on installing a turbo, your car would benefit from a 3" exhaust. If you are not going to turbo, the 2.5" exhaust would be sufficient. If you now are NA, but plan on going turbo in the future, a 3" exhaust will not significantly reduce the NA performance. However, it may be relatively LOUD. humfrz |
