I'd take a Cayman over Evora 10/10 times.

Elise was a top contender when I bought my BRZ. BRZ was just more practical on a day to day basis.

Although a better response to your question would have been "because racecar", I actually like the answer he gave you. He was basically saying "Oh, well, if you don't like it perhaps you should get the version that SHIFTS FOR YOU. Buck up soldier, this is a man's car!"

But the Evora isn't a racecar. The Elise is, the Evora is a luxed up grand tourer meant to compete with the 911. While its a great looking car, I agree with Blaine -- I test drove a Cayman the same day and despite having comparable performance it was much more livable as a daily driver.

Now I live in Union City. Commuting to San Rafael from there sucks.

I kinda want a 2015 WRX now...

I'm thinking I might get one this winter and retire the FR-S from daily duty. It'll be over 75K miles by then. I'm just about to hit 65K.

Flying is probably the best way to get there.

Swim!!

Avoid peak times like summer, winter breaks, spring break, etc. Just be cautious of the scheduling here - if the kids are out of school, a trip to Hawaii will cost you more. Hotels and food - stay off the main tourists routes and prices are lower. If you've never been to a luau, I recommend that!! Otherwise, shop around for sites, car rental, things to do, etc.

The 86-group there are a nice crowd!
