If you have to modify the OEM MAF sensor wiring, then this is probably a good time to extend the wiring. I would cut off the sensor where you broke the white wire and add some length to each wire. I had to do it for a Vortech install, and just used the same size wire and some butt connectors. Place some black plastic tubing over it and it looks just like OEM.

My car's going in for more boost tune. I'm at 10lbs now, we'll be tuning with the 14lb wastegate spring. I've got the gtx2867 and meth injection. Unfortunately all we have is CA 91 gas, but I'm still hoping for decent numbers with the meth.

Alright guys, on the overpipe. I plan to install perrins 2.5 next week or so. I'm wondering if you guys think I could slice (and reweld) the OEM heat and make it work on the aftermarket overpipe? My goal is to take a few moments to help reduce heat and stop the potential melting of the sway bar bushing that some turbo owners have had.

My main reasoning is I'm asking if this would be more effective than using header wrap?

Pretty sure they are different steels and it would Crack at the welds. But I don't have one in front of me. I double wrapped mine in dei titanium wrap and my sway bar bushings are fine.

FYI.. If you race your car and you're using the FBM Turbo/Mocal Oil Cooler kits

The Mocal oil filter sandwich plate WILL AND CAN come loose.

Recommend before and after a racing event and possible in between sessions, you may need to retorque the center thru bolt if you see slight oil residue on the plate. And definitely recommend after each oil change to retorque it regardless since you will have the filter off.

Do you know what the torque specs are off the top of your head?

How far do I need to turbo drain through the oil pan. I have the hole drilled and everything fitted, just not sure if the inside should be flush or if the drain should push through an 0.5-2" or so.

Flex fuel from moto east gets here monday, hopefully can get it installed that day so Chris can start working on the tune.

Not sure if I want to keep the car, part of me is really tempted to get a 235, friend got one and it responds crazy to just bolt ons and a tune.

Well you'll need a clutch, possibly flex fuel depending how you want to run your setup. 400whp should be possible on e85, e85 runs a lot cooler, depending on the temperature where you live, you may be able to skip on the radiator stuff for a while
