There's a clever safety prop that locks. Just lift the jack enough to take the weight off of it and lift it a smidge with your foot. That cam drops down and allows the foot to float over the stops. I circled it in red but the line's kind of thin.

Let me have my kids sleep under there. The car can double as a tent!

That quick jack thingy is better than actual jacks, yes, but I'd have to get one version for the truck and another version for the cars. The truck has a 149" wheelbase and the FRS has 101". Plus what if I eventually get a 2500 or 3500 truck? That crew cab with the diesel is over 7000lbs and a dualie can go over 8000 if I option it up.

Their biggest one has 7000 lb. capacity. Mine is 5000, which is plenty for everything I own.

My concern with the QuickJack has always been the inability to slide under the side of the car. So say you want to unbolt the exhaust at the mid section of the car. You would have to craw unter from the front or rear. Then again it looks like it's high enough that you could quickly roll under there with a creeper.

My concern is that they need a flat, level, firm surface. I do not have such a thing available even if I wanted to use them.

Plenty high enough, and solid as a rock. I always put a couple jack stands here and there in case of catastrophic failure, which is super unlikely.

here is a video where they lifted over 20,000 lbs with the 5000 lb unit.
