I don't know if my airbox bracket is different or not, but I have some clearance with my Perrin oil cooler

Looking at prices, it looks to be cheaper than a Perrin or Mishimoto oil cooler, too. And it's the same oil cooling concept as in a robispec radiator.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

Looks like it will get in the way of the bypass valve if installed exactly like that guy did, in the lower radiator hose.

Well, it has to be installed on the cold side of the radiator.

And a bpv can be relocated, right?

If I didn't want to tackle this Vortech install... what should I expect to pay a shop for the install? 5-6hr or labor...

trust me when i say you can tackle it. i did it in my aunts drive way with hand tools.

also its not a 5-6 install lol. it took me a little longer to install it then normal (i have a habbit of taking my time and getting side tracked) and i had 24 hours of install time. most are reporting 18-20.

honestly its easy. theres A LOT of little things to do so its time consuming but if you have common sense and the basic understanding of tools, you can do it.

Yup it's definitely doable. The only step where I needed an extra hand was when I had to slip the belt in. The blower's bracket made it extremely difficult to manipulate the belt tensioner. You don't have a good leverage because you must use a short open end wrench and then you have to pull up on it. Very frustrating.

If you plan on upgrading your radiator, I would strongly recommend doing it the same time you install the supercharger. I installed mine after, and I had to remove the blower again. Hardest part again was reinstallation of the belt.

After you're done with the installation, reward yourself with a nice cold beer, and prepare yourself to have a sore body for the next 2-3 days

What about getting and installing a better radiator before getting and installing the Vortech?

Pretty sure this is the FI solution I want, after much internal debating and weighing of options. But I want to do things in stages. I think a better radiator and a laminova oil cooler would be good things to get and get installed well before I even make this purchase.

Installing a radiator on a NA car should be a walk in the park. You just have to remove the bumper, airbox and the metal beam above the radiator.

I thought you were going to stay NA with 200whp on 91?

I am for now. Probably for the next year or so while I get everything else done. But I want to make sure all the mods I do do in the engine bay are compatible with a future FI installation.

That's the path I took which ultimately led to installing the vortech. Can't go wrong with that.

I installed the Mishimoto when I put in my Vortech, wasn't very difficult. Now clamping all the loose hoses on the other hand...
