Not to point fingers at you personally, but I'm sick and tired of hearing this. If I wanted a car with paint chips I'd buy a f**king used car.

Do your cars look like golf balls with paint chips all over or something? I've got almost 12k miles on mine and I've noticed a single chip that was the direct result of driving behind a semi with a trailer full of gravel. Haven't had any issues with normal driving locations.

So, if the Sooby's paint is on the thinnish side, what product is out there to afford added protection that is worth getting? I am about to pull the trigger on a black BRZ and want the paint to last and not get full of swirls. I was going to wait for the 14's, but am losing my mind watching the 13's roll into and out of the dealer lot, so I need to figure out sooner than later what might be out there that would help the paint/finish last.

I'm by no means a professional (and can only dream of justifying a paint thickness measurer) but my experience is from polishing a VW GTI and my BRZ one after the other. Using the same product, same pads, similar light haze in the GTI's paint required at least another pass to get to the same result. It just seemed like the subaru clear was much softer.

I know I know, not scientific evidence but I'm sure many others who have worked on different brands would agree. But I am glad to see such a decent paint thickness just curious how many more times I can safely do a thorough polish.
