Does it happen to look like this? lol. Just found this after a day at NYST.

I am almost still certain that its your EPS cutting out bc that has been a known issue. But the fact that our tires are hitting the chassis can't be good either.

OMG DejaVu. Same here, Glen T7. First time it scared the s*** out of me but then I got used to it after realize its a common problem.

This was with R888R 255/40/17 however since then I have moved to R7 225/40 and been tracking at different locations and no issues. Unsure if its a Glen thing or a big wider taller tire thing or both.

Looks exactly like that. Its not the EPS cutting out. Raise the car about an inch for a test, go at it and watch it not cut or feel different from anywhere on track.

@lutfy 255/40 has a lot more sidewall than 225/40. Specially since the R888R has so much tread (9/32). Pretty sure your issue was this same thing.

Edit: grammar correction.

The fender rubbing just started this year bc I lowered the ride height. I had the same size tires on last year with plenty of clearance and the steering issue happened then as well.

Ur issue could be the fender, it may not but just know the EPS cutting is also a known issue.

Did not think it was related but YES YES YES my fenders were rubbed pretty badly and we had to raise it 1/2 inch. This all makes sense now.

Cheers guys.

It's tread, not thread.

idk why this has been popping up more and more recently but it bothers me.

This has happened to me before. In my case, I can see a mark on the inner wall of the wheel well where the back of my end link was hitting it under high compression sweeping turns.
