Same here, but I saved 200lb.

That's what I call win-win!

Engine cover and replacing the sound/intake tube with a silicone replacement is daily-driveable and saves 3-5 pounds off the front top. You could also take off the bottom skid plates for autocross and save a good couple pounds and add some cooling. You'll lose a bit of aero and protection but in an autocross you'll likely be just fine. You could remove your whole glovebox for AutoX/track too lol

Skid plates are unlikely to be permitted for AutoX (SCCA anyway) outside of SM, where you'll need a LOT to be competitive. Remember, if they don't say you can, you can't. Also, aero does matter.

Haha I always forget about SCCA's big bad classing monster. I'm the AutoX chair for the biggest college sportscar club in the nation... We host an AutoX every month and we really don't care that much
It's about going fast and having fun as much as it is about being competitive.

It comes with the scale and the numbers, and probably with just how competitive everyone is. It gets VERY hard to police "eh, too small a change to matter" on every car/platform in the rules... because if I can remove aero, why can't I add it? I suspect a rear diffuser would help this car on high speed transitions, for example. A lot? No, but enough to carry just a little more speed sometimes (for that matter, you might still see more speed with the front plates in this car than without.) It gets to the point that people HAVE to do these things, and then push the boundaries to the next thing you don't care that much about.

Then again, I won't lose the 30-40lbs I could by changing seats; too many bad drivers around here. So... yeah. Even when it's there, it may not be worthwhile.

People don't take a dump, you leave it.

Also going #1 + #2 combined, might net a weight around 1-1.5 pounds max, for most people

Remove heavy clothing, boots , that can save some.
