when you hit the lock button on your key...

does it beep once or twice?

mine beeps once for a lock, twice for unlock. that seems weird to me. especially since you have to hit unlock twice when you have a passenger.

Sounds about right...a total of 4 beeps to unlock both doors.

just seems to make more sense in my head for it to beep twice on lock instead of once.

If you think of it terms of syllables of the words, it makes perfect sense. Beep = Lock, Beep Beep = Unlock

Same thing with my Si. I was actually a bit confused when the car didnt honk at me to let me know it was safe.

Even though my BRZ is a limited and keyless, I still find myself hitting the lock button on the keyfob every now and then.

I think you can have the dealership change that setting. I'm not near my owners manual to be able to check
