I wouldn't argue with that. But I'm sure I've seen brand new tires go from mount/balance to track driving.

It doesn't need to rain to ruin Mines. A cow pisses or residents water their driveways or keep an open bag of sand, pebbles, rocks in the back of their truck and that road is off limits. Oh btw, it's not Mines. I've seen that road too many times to know even in the greatest weather it's still crap. Best time to drive Mines is when you don't talk about it. IMO.

My dad, who was an engineer for Goodyear, always said 300-500 miles, so that sounds about right.
Not Tesla but yah farm country. Other side of 580 actually
I could dodge the 15 minute 680/580 commute and get lost on this roads and end up at the backdoor of [new] work

The picture was blocked on my work computer, but I don't know why I assumed Mines. I even thought to myself that your description didn't sound like Mines. Oh well, if that's the dumbest thing I do today I'll consider it a win.

Haha no win no losses, all good . You stated a very good observation after mine. I just added to it haha. Mines gets a bad rep because of the debris but having driven it without the conscious of another 86/friend/car behind or infront, it's a great fun drive. I'm only peppering my car after all

Yeah, I dont drive different when there is another car behind me. I have been told it sucks cuz I tend to hug the shoulder to give more room to oncoming traffic should they appear but it also is where most the debris is lol

The weather is looking pretty clear tomorrow morning... rain not expected until later on Saturday. Anyone want to go for a early morning drive? Suggested routes/areas?

Roads will be wet after the rain, my whole goal is to drive BEFORE the rain.

Happy bday to Mrs.Flip!

OK for Saturday morning, let's meet at the Starbucks on Vasco at 8AM. I'm not familiar with this reservoir but I'm thinking we do Mines Rd, or Tesla/Patterson, or some combination of them.

Starbucks Coffee
223 S Vasco Rd, Livermore, CA 94551

On Sunday, let's meet in Castro Valley for a run up Redwood. Meet at the Baskin Robbins across from Peet's Coffee, I will post up the time and address later.
