Window Seal Leaves Marks on Windows

I noticed the window rubber seal seems to always leave a mark on the windows. It seems like the mark might actually be small pieces of the rubber seal coming off the window.

I searched around the forum and found people recommended 303 for the rubber window seal and basically any plastic/vinyl/rubber in the car as long as its not an exterior part. However, after applying 303 it doesn't really seem to alleviate the issue i'm having with marked up windows.

Anyone else have this problem or better yet a solution?

I have the same issue. If I clean it off the inside of the window, it just comes back after a few days.

Yup, same thing. I actually need to take mine into the dealer as well due to the window making a loud squeel every time it goes up and down

Yea, I was hoping 303 or one of the rubber/vinyl protectant sprays would help the seals from rubbing off, but not luck. I actually had a slight discoloration on a small part of the seal that the 303 did fix. I guess this is something we all will have to just live with?

Yep.

FWIW, I used this. Made the rubber look good but made the markings on the window worse.

Mine only does it when they are wet. It's a bit annoying but I'll live.

Same. It is embarrassing sometimes when I have someone in my car.

mine sequels bad when wet. Even if its just barely damp like morning dew. It drives me nuts. I think its rubbing on the outside because every time it happens there's a wet streak in the same place on the outside. Im going to talk to the dealer about it.

I use a product called Gummi Pflege by Einszett. This stuff is awesome for all door, window, trunk and hood rubber seals.

Made in Germany this stuff is water based which means that it is non-greasy and supper easy to apply.

I learned about this on a BMW forum. Amazon sells this for $8.40.

qoncept above stated he used that at it seems to have gotten worse now. Have you actually tried it on your car for this issue?
