261hp vs 200hp 265ftlbs vs 151ftlbs, enough said. this isn't a fair comparison especially with the prius tires. although the megane weighs about 425lbs more the power is still way down on BRZ. Disappointing how they felt about the BRZ though, guess ill have to decide when i test drive it.

yeah we discussed it. the reason why they shit on the Subaru is because it costs more in the UK vs what you get there compared to the US or Japan

These guys are trying to act baffled when they know that there is a big power difference. And yes in my opinion the power difference is huge. You can tell by the way the reviewer was holding on for dear life in the Megane. Give the BRZ a closer power figure (lets say 250hp) and to be totally fair(even), use a Manual BRZ. :happy0180:

not singling you out or anything because i dont think its fair either but the brz was set out to be fun and that is the argument people use when it compares unfavorably to many other cars. now its not even doing that right. its kind of a stupid video and i dont really take anything other than numbers from them since everything else is opinion but im still excited to get in one. although if we had the megane i might be singing a different tune

I actually think the biggest hindrance when it comes to the numbers game that the FR-S/BRZ faces is with its tires. We must realize that acceleration, braking and handling limit is dictated first by the tires.

Now the factory spec FR-S/BRZ isn't meant to be a numbers car, it wasn't built for the 0-60 or laptime glamour. It is meant to be fun and involving. However keeping in mind that it can still pull pretty decent numbers on the crap rubber is a testament to it's abilities. Over 69mph through the slalom is excellent, we can only imagine what it can do with a better/stickier tire compound.

But FFS can Evo please not review the slushbox auto, they are better than that surely.

Welcome to the new era when everything made-in-Japan is now more expensive than similar European, American and Korean offerings. Made-in-Japan is even losing in the value proposition.

As opposed to the old era when Korean cars were more expensive?

Cost of cars in UK is not the same as other countries, especially considering the Pound has dropped far more vs the yen than any other currency
