Running 3000k fog lights?

I installed aftermarket foglights and want to upgrade the halogens to 3000k HID foglights with a 55w ballast. Anyone running this? I've been reading up and got mix reviews on if I need a relay harness or not? Anyone running this setup without a relay harness and have any issues?

I'm running hid in headlights and in fogs. All I needed was a switch for mine.

Using the relay harness as well. Was using HID's but I figure I'd clear up some clutter in my engine bay and just went with these:

Prefer them so much more over my HID's

^I second using the yellow halogens. I'm using the Hella Yellow H11s and they look great, they are cheap (you can get them at pepboys) and no ballasts to worry about.

I strongly recommend switching to a 35 watt kit, especially since you are using them in the fog lights.

55 watt kits generate considerably more heat than a 35 watt kit, and in a smaller fog light housing you are greatly increasing the chances of heat related damage.

35 watt running 6k hids. It's bright as hell. I feel like I can drive without headlights sometimes.

I have 6k 55w HIDs and 3k 35w Fogs. Both are ran on relay harness, the fog ignition switch is triggered from the headlights.
