@Tcoat as I said... The term has been appropriated. It is clear from the context you used it as you describe. I'm not a fan of avoiding /letting it go, but it was never a very nice thing to call someone anyway. Your use, oddly, is not so bothersome since it is describing someone who feels they should be allowed to cheat/steal/lie and have no consequences...

Half of what we say could be traced back to a point where it was indeed offensive so where do we draw the line in using old phrases? Things can be taken way to far.
I don't have a ready answer.. It's tough. I try to change once I've learned.

The new "double parking" meaning is just stupid, so I stick to its real meaning. Might as well be as picky everywhere.

Damn dude, that was a long post. You’ve have been here long enough and already know the line & I read few post in that thread & don’t see any problem from your posts. He dishes out and you were flat out bout it, he got upset & now crying saying you were mean to him... which is total BS.

Thing that annoyed me was, “someone” reported claiming BS thing. Pretty much saying if you don’t delete that post “someone” will report to certain group & result you will lose all the vendors and so on. (If you wanna read it I can PM, but not worth reading)

My point is, I’m not deleting your post, cuz I don’t see any problem. He can cry all he wants, idc

Sounds like it goes to the lawyer... Or whatever the equivalent of a restraining order is. Not a positive member of the forum.

Also, someone is working overtime to earn the "I'm special, bow to me" designation...

It's almost the weekend.

Had worse. There was once member actually try to lawyer up to get things deleted. I have told him several DOZEN times, before wasting the money, he can delete his own post. He finally got it that, he can delete his own posts or how to delete it. Never heard it again.

I'm fairly certain nothing can actually be deleted once it's on the internet. All you can do is remove it from the page you know it's on and hope it doesn't show up again.

You know I don't normally explain my actions but felt this time it was required. You also know that I myself have reported derogatory posts about peoples sexual orientation several times (remember the Uber commercial debacle?) and you dealt with the offenders appropriately.
In this case I am more pissed off at the accusations being made with zero grounds other than the guys own imagination.

I can tell I'm approaching the "get of the lawn" stage of my life because I'm tired of the whole thing.

Example, my son works with a very obvious female who says she doesn't "want to be gender identified" and if you refer to her with a female pronoun she quickly reminds you she goes by "they".

Now, if you were born with the markers that make you female, and want to be identified as male, as long as you act/dress the part I'm good with calling you he/him. Other way around as well.

if you want to be identified as "they" I'm good with that as well as long as you either 1) have active multiple personalities or 2) have mastered cell splitting to the point where you can replicate yourself into multiple forms.

But we have a perfectly good word in the language for someone that is not a he or she and I'm happy to call you "it", but using "they" in an improper context is offensive to me so I'm not going to use it. So it's either it or she, but I'm not going to call you they.

How about 'e? 'e went for a walk and 'e got the mail?

I worked with a woman with a gender-neutral name that you really couldn't tell was female until you were around her for a day or two and picked up on things. You could always tell who was struggling to figure it out because they would avoid all references to "he" or "she".
