At least me personally, don't plan on opening this block and building it, so around 300 whp was going to be my ceiling regardless of turbo. Better turbo would be a bonus sure, but I stand behind my purchase as it fills my needs

I imagine I would be plety happy with the stage 1+ kit on my BRZ and a slow build from there..

But i do plan to eventually build this block all the way to 450-500WHP on pump gas within the next 5 years or so.

Avo is well known for the extensive testing and refinement of these kits and I'd love to take one of these kits (with the true Subaru sound) and refinement on to my 500+ HP goal.

Much better than strapping on a turbo and swapping to E85 (closest pump is 40 miles away....)

I'd love to strap on the brand new Borg Warner S251RS sitting in my garage but i think it might be a bit more than i need on this car.

Definitely, the sky is the limit with the kit if you think about it. Anything can be upgraded and will get you to your goal, No reason for someone looking for BIG HP to shy away from this kit, it can deliver just as good as others with upgrades, especially at the LOW entry fee!

Urrm. I'm not sure if it's even a viable option at this point so let's all just stop jumping the gun yeah? Even if it's an option, it wouldn't be just a sub $2000 upgrade I can assure you. But I can confirm I am testing *something* out, and if all works out, we'll announce it at the 86Expo...

Cheers,

Looking forward to this *something*

I think what @Sportsguy83 meant was the kit is very well priced to start with and giving it more options to grow ( for people to invest in later) is amazing too

Yeah I'm not expecting a 500hp avo stage kit I'd rather jump in at 300-350whp, then once the motor is built (years down the road) jump up to the 450-500whp range.

Like I said all in time.

I'm not a corner junky nor do I want a Dyno queen or drag monster. There is no reason these cars can't carry the same power to weight as a zr1 and then out handle one in the slalom. It's all about time, money, and driver skill.

Searching for AVO Turbokit installation - instruction manual

Eventually there was not a single paper supplied within the box with the kit

Please point me to any instruction manual available, if you had your kit supplied with it

Appreciating your help, dont wanna mess something up.

It's right in front to the left of the stock airbox and down a bit, I'll take a photo later today when I'm trying to install the EBCS.

Right below the intake pipe that is running in front of the Alternator. Shinny metal.

nm did some quick research and got it.. question is:

is the BOV placement Before the intercooler?

which would mean the pressure would have to travel from throttlebody through the intercooler all the way back to the outlet before being released or

after the intercooler closer to the Throttle body allowing the intercooler to act as a pressure "holding" tank between shifts and thus decreasing lag between shifts.

Look at the picture above. It is after the intercooler and right before the Throttle Body.
