Feels great already, actually! And the new Roms by Paul don't have that same boost issue at 4k rpm. Tuning can only get better from here, too.

How is your tuning challenge going dude did anyone make you that awesome flat torque curve at 400 wtq yet??
Thanks for the clarification. Boost raising by itself means a restriction somewhere. If they can dial it out with a remap then it must be a radical limit on VE in the engine (e.g. cam timing). Perhaps it was put it for some safety? I dunno, pure speculation.

Unfortunately no, noone has manned up to my challenge yet.

Has anyone received a march shipment of these kits? Just wondering if and when the second set of kits will begin shipping?

They'll be shipping a bit late, from the end of this week and through the next 2 weeks. Our apologies, just got delayed a bit on some components.

That's not correct. Restriction only increases boost on supercharged motors where there is no waste gate to control boost level.

A wastegate senses the pressure in the system via a vac hose and maintains it via a spring with a certain psi rating.

On a turbo motor boost creeping up means:

1. an inability of the waste gate system to expel the gas enough to keep boost stable. This can be due to:

A. Boost control, if there is one, is faulty or un-tuned.

B. malfunctioning waste gate flapper door (in internal gated system) or an inadequate wastegate size

C. Boost leak in the system causing the signal to the waste gate to be less than what it is. This allows boost to reach higher levels before the waste gate opens.

Vu, I am sure you have experts working on fixing your problems but these are the areas on the system you can check yourself. I've had an internally waste gated turbo have a sticky flapper door which prevented the door from opening fully. Boost creep resulted. I've also had broken vac hoses causing the waste gate to not open when it should. And lastly I have had an ebc that just couldn't do what it was supposed to do. Switched to a manual one and it was fixed.

Don't forget the rare, but applicable case of wastegate control rod adjustment. I've gotten internally gated kits where the arm from the wastegate actuator to the flapper door needed to be adjusted because of boost creep.

What's up with the boost decrease from 4.5psi to 4psi from 3k to 5k rpm?

I'm waiting for some log analysis, but right now we suspect a bit too much retard on the ign. timing, especially in that range, along with a adjustable boost actuator rod being screwed up a bit too tight.

We know from experience that the kit will maintain a smooth boost curve, even at higher boost levels.

8psi on Stage 1.5, with full exhaust, MAP sensor, 7psi Actuator

10psi on Stage 1.5+, with full exhaust, MAP sensor, 7psi Actuator

So just looking at sorting out what it is specifically.

I should have been clearer. My statement was based on the assumption that the waste gate was saturated. Your comments fill the void well, though.

Looks like Fensport in the UK are doing well with the AVO kit:

They claim the calibration/map is not finished yet.

^^^ NICE! Looks really similar to ours, a little more power due to generally better gas I'm assuming...
