They might have just left the moldings/striping of the rear window, so it might not be a hatch just cus there is a gap around the rear window. That being said it does look like the rear window comes up with the boot so who knows
Purely for strength vs weight I'd prefer a coupe

Is there firm proof yet that the Toyo version will actually be Scion badged?

Also, in the comments people are talking about a 2013 model, it got pushed back AGAIN?

I have a feeling the subaru version will be quirky and unnatractive.

Which is exactly what I like about Subarus. Just as long as the car isn't HIDEOUS!

if the subie's a hatch and unattractive, maybe you could bolt on the jdm toyota front end

I hope it means the car comes stateside.

But it isn't definitive just b/c they're testing it here. The VW Scirocco was tested in the states but those b@stards didn't bring it over.

That's what makes a Subaru Subaru, uniqueness. Like our buddy said, as long as it's not ugly, I can accept that.

Yeah I honestly think Subaru execs despise good looking cars. I've never seen a Subie that makes me go "WOW!!!" that's a gorgeous looking car. I believe Scion/Toyota will be the sleek, sexy, low slunger that will make me go WOW!!!

Sleek/Sharp/Low slung>>>Quirky.

SilEighty-style? Could be interesting. Who will be first with a frankenstein?

I really think the previous generation Legacy was a really good-looking sedan without the quirkiness. This pic's not the best as they look sleeker and sharper in real life...

NO. LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE. YOU'VE BROKEN MY CAPS LOCK KEY AND NOW I HAVE TO YELL AT YOU. THERE IS NO PROOF OF ANY KIND, ANYWHERE ON HERE OR ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE INTERNET ABOUT IT BEING A SCION.

there is also no reason to believe that it has been pushed back to 2013. just wait a couple weeks until Geneva, and i'm sure we'll have at least a little bit more information.
