Question Clutch problems on BRZ after 70k miles

Alright. I have read multiple threads about the TOB problem. And it sounds like I just ran into it. Would really like your opinion on getting a excedy stage 2 clutch kit. Will this fix potential TOB problems in the future ? Should I also invest in a stronger fork and pivot ?? The hydraulic bearing looks sold out and honestly not on my option list.

Also I had my local mechanic take a look at my car and said that it looked the clutch was not disengaging completely. I have an appointment with the dealership on Tuesday. Is it even worth going ? I don't have any extended warranty anyway.

no, a heavier clutch will actually be tougher on the tob. ...because it's heavier.

stock stuff is fine.

I question the talent of a mechanic that would miss or ignore a failed tob, or not be able to figure out this issue in five minutes.

Describe exactly what you are experiencing.

At low rpm, when I depress the clutch I hear a noise that sounds a gas cylinder being vented. Like a shhh noise. I can't hear anything once I'm on the highway so that gives you an idea on the decibel level.
