Looks like they're going for Tesla-esque integration. A forum post on nasioc says they're even working on air suspension control.

Interesting concept. Wonder what the planned price point it is? I love the IDEA of a 10" Display and Can Bus interface. It would be great if you could flash the ECU's Roms and monitored additional parameters similar to OFT.

The idea of my Cars brains being connected to the Internet makes me a bit nervous though. Now my car becomes "hackable" by someone across the globe. Wonder what they are doing about security?

Since you can do Environmental controls through the interface, I'm assuming that the current ones will be removed and replaced with the Brainiac. If the Brainiac goes on the fritz, it could be very unpleasant in the middle of the Winter\Summer. Just some things to think about

Wow that setup looks promising. Do they mention cost anywhere? Are we looking at $1000+?

I would imagine this is going to cost considerably more than $1000...

Pretty much this. We're talking about something that will cost quite a bit. I just don't see it being worth it, especially on first gen system.

They stated that their planned price point was about the same as other high end 7" double din units currently available on the market.

The 10.1" will work well in the FR-S. The pre-requisite for the 10.1" display is electronic climate control. Meaning works using wires plugged into the back of the climate control unit instead of rods, cables, vacuum switches.

So in your case, you would actually gain automatic climate control by installing Brainiac
Dunno if there is some kind of misunderstanding here. If not OMG!

that actually makes sense. if the brainac thing is a full on tablet and the software is written well then there is no reason that they can't program autoclimate control into it. it will probably require some kind of temp sensor that i believe non autoclimate cars don't have, but other than that it should be easy. "should be." now that doesn't mean that dual climate control is possible in cars that don't already have it because a lot of that is physical parts that you would have to swap out, but still. could be very cool.

I can see this giving auto climate control but not "dual" climate control.

In for more info!!
