But if you gonna go through the hassle of swapping then it's worth Going the xtra mile to include the long tube.
400whp maybe a lot of power at lower speed in lower gear but doing highway pull in 3rd and taller gear you gonna find out you need another 100hp or so to take the car into the 10s
With the twin 400whp will only take it to about a high 11s , Im guessing based on my FM built LS3 NB Miata which currently weigh in at 2667lbs and pull 400whp on a dyno jet
I agree with the "If you're going through the trouble" comment.

Yeah, lots of options...stock ls3 with heads, cam, exhaust and a tune can do 500whp. But buying a new ls3 and swaping out the top end, ends up around the same price as that Texas Speed 630hp ls3 Dustin bought...which has forged internals and other upgrades.

I'm interested to see the whp/tq curve on this TSP 630 once Dustin gets it together. I expect to see 500-520 at the wheels...would hope for more than that actually but I think 500-520 is realistic.

I've looked a bit but haven't really found any chassis dyno numbers on this motor installed in an actual vehicle... Mast Performance has a similar package(a lot more money, but they seem to be regarded as the best) https://www.mastmotorsports.com/coll...nt=21144296518

...again I couldn't find any actual installed numbers. Dyno numbers or quarter mile times would be nice to see what kind of power that particular motor actually makes.

What are your expectations Dustin?

Video is uploading to Youtube, forgive me as it's really my first video. Mounting was less than ideal and provided audio issues.

Pictures are getting uploaded right now as well.

I couldn't find any chassis numbers either, which is quite frustrating to be honest. The engine should deliver good power nonetheless.

On the local dyne I expect to see around 480-500whp. I will be getting a current dyno with the turbo FA20 on E85 @14psi. Should be interesting to see the difference in the curve.

I am missing the -6AN Hose as it is a special order item. I should have it around the 16th.

Glad to see you went with an organic disk as opposed to a ceramic/metal one.

Looking forward to watching the progress!

Well I got all excited as Vorshlag said they had the mounts in stock in the shop update video and again on their facebook page. I contacted them about the mounts, as well as the driveshaft and too see if they had a price on the clutch master cylinder mount yet. I was informed that someone jumped the gun. They are still building them and deciding on a final price. Little bummed, but such is life. Trying to figure out a wheel/tire set-up to help get the most grip possible. Maybe go a little crazy and go rocket bunny? eh who knows.

I'm thinking the same thing, how are we going to handle the extra power?...go with a rocket bunny set up, I've just never been a fan of body kits...especially this rivet style...and molding the panels in is probably worse on a car that's going to get beat on pretty hard.

Also every rocket bunny or other wide body car I see still has 9-10" wheels with wheel spacers...and they are mostly "stanced" with the wheels all cambered out.

I'd like to see a car set up with a real wide set up 10's or 11's up front and 13's+ out back set up to actually handle... I'd expect this is doable... have you seen any real track set ups using a wide body? I've seen some video clips but Haven't really been able to find details/specs yet.

The alternative is to go inward, I don't have my car yet so I haven't really been able to figure what the options are...is a mini tub doable in the rear?

If your willing to wait.....I know I know we all been waiting to long as it is......but I'm extremely curious how Vorschlag is going to go wide body for their Beta build, I can almost guarantee they won't go rocket bunny,.....they mostly shy away from JDM and like to find their own solutions that lean more towards functionality over style.....

I was really in to this build until "rocket bunny" was mentioned. These cars can fit some really decent rubber as is.... You hardly ever see anyone taking advantage of that. Instead you see some shoddy wide body craftsmanship and spaced out wheels.

@ILLSMOQ

Check out Element Tuning. They run 315/325 slicks all around on 18x11 XXR wheels. They say it takes a little bit of frame modification to clear the turning radius. Also check out Nigelr32's Build. Amazing workmanship. Jaw-dropping really.

I am looking at 18x11 all around with a possible 315 at each corner. That or 18x9.5 up front on a 275 and 18x11 rear with 315.

I am not sure on the tub situation. Rear isn't really the issue, it's the front.

@cf6mech

In the video that they posted giving first impressions on the FRS, they posted a picture of a KM4SH Rocket Bunny FRS and 315 tires. So I assumed that is the direction they decided to go. Will keep my eyes on their updates though.
@Summerwolf

You can fit a max of 285/295 with quite a bit of body mods to the car and required to fit them on a 9.5/10" wide wheel. I haven't fully decided on if I want to go rocket bunny or not, but it really is one of the easiest ways to get a wider set of wheels/tires. Keeping stock body requires custom wheels and a REALLY good body guy you trust to roll and pull your fenders.

Maybe an 18x10 Forgestar F14 in Bronze Burst... hmm

CCWs look good on everything. If you DO go rocket bunny..... forgestar wheels are used so often..... doubling down on playing it out. LOL

CCW are also 4x the cost... (Edit: The CCWs I just so happen to click on were, seems you can get them for ~$750 a piece) I was looking at the Forgestar (edit: $1400 for the complete set of custom wheels) for the stock body. Planned on using Cosmis Racing wheels if I went Rocket Bunny.

Put a feeler out for Custom RPF1s. Might as well use another played out wheel haha

How much room is there? Could you fit a custom made 11 or 12" wheel in the rear? 9.5/10 up front?

Probably don't see anyone taking advantage of the room because it's a low dollar car and most want to use cheap off the shelf wheels.

We are spending some real dollars here so custom made wheels are appropriate.
