By the way, any worries about accidentally hitting the Engine Start button since it's right there in the middle of the center console? Perhaps you could go with a safety cover sort of like the Aventador:

Or if you're into covered toggle switches:

i drove around for a few day with the button in place, and honestly i dont see myself hitting it. however that a-vent-a-door button looks so damn sexy..damn you for giving me ideas, time to see if i can get my hands on one, or if i can make a flip up like that. but honestly i dont think i need it because the button requires some presure to press, if seomthign were to hit it or anyhitng i wouldn't shut the car off. its not really an issue for me ESPECIALLY because i have the armrest so that raises everything an inch or so ya know?

You won't turn the car off from 1 press of the button when the car is moving. I have tested the button a few times on the highway and in my neighborhood and it takes 3 presses to get the car to shut off at anything faster than 0, basically.

Yeah, I guess with the arm rest there, you've got an extra layer of protection. I just know that I (or my passenger) have hit the seat warmers on accident before but I don't have an arm rest.

That flip cover button is definitely damned sexy. If it helps to make you desire it more, you should know that it's an anodized aluminum piece that flips up with a smooth precise motion. The thing belongs on a jet fighter. Let me know if you find something like it!

Good to know - never actually tried it myself so I wasn't sure! Thanks!

my friends think they are funny and turn my heated seat on, sometimesi dont notice. but now i'll notice everytime because of where i relocated hte buttons

...i found a few places to source this button, maybe i'll do it its not THAT expensive, but i JUST had the interior wrapped so i'd have to recut everything...and then re wrap and genuine alcantara isn't cheap....but my god that would be so sexy if i can pull this off...okay if anyone can find the pin out diagram for the brz push start and somehow find the aventador pin out...i'd love you

LMAO wtf. Screw that! Can it work without the trim? I'd go for $200
