Replace FRS Series One rear spoiler?
I have a Yellow Series One FRS and I want to replace the stock rear spoilers with the one on the black car. I will have it painted to match and want a more aggressive look. I hate the flat TRD stocker. Are there holes in my trunk lid or is the Series One TRD spoiler just stuck on with tape? How do I get the stocker to release from the trunk lid?
Any help appreciated.

IMO, the TRD looks better, but that's just me. And I think the TRD is taped but not sure.

Probably holes. I have a series Blue and there are I think 7 holes. I already fiberglass backed it, then bondo'ed the holes in the middle.
I'm in the process of doing the rest now for v1 spoiler. But I'm guessing you'll have holes as I wasn't able to find many options without aside from aftermarket. Hopefully I'm wrong so your life is easier than mine, lol. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

That pic is of a carbon trunk lid with built in spoiler. IMO, The OEM TRD looks better than the other pics they show, I mean the red car is photoshopped terribly.
I would un-bolt your stock wing and then try removing it. Then, if needed, Add heat gently to get the double sided tape to release.

Actually... Open your trunk and look at it. You should see screws where the spoiler is. It should easily answer your question. Just look inside the trunk and you'll see if any screws are holding the spoiler on. I can get pics if it helps.

I'm pretty sure the Subaru series Blue has holes as that is for their low-wing. I had a Subaru BRZ with factory low-wing before I traded for the FRS One.
I will look to see if there are any obvious holes under the lid. I am really hoping that the two side little spoilers don't have holes, because I would like to do away with those completely. I want a spoiler that has a more aggressive flip up look, but not as radical as rocket bunny types. Any suggestions on possible's welcome : )

It's listed as "Duck-Bill Style Trunk Spoiler" on their website.

My 2016 RS2 has two bolts visible from inside the trunk. Looks like removing those two nuts may release the spoiler unless it’s taped as well. Some fishing line should handle that.

There's about 8 plastic snap clips between the 2 sides though.

Thanks, It looks like even the silly little rear side fender spoilers have holes too : /
I'm basically stuck with them : / OEM manufacturer doesn't do tape stick on parts other than emblems. The other gripe I have with the Series 1 TRD setup is the yellow paint match on the three "spoilers" is horrible compared to the rest of the car. You may not see it in the cell phone photos but it's a pretty bad miss-match when parked in my garage.
