Correct i got a check engine light then it went away in the middle of the session around 1 min later the car went into limp mode and the engine was done. Apparently the heat is what is causing these injectors to fail.

Remove manifold is not hard, but you need SST to put the seal in. I did not have SST either. So it took time to put the seal in.

Special tool that Toyota recommend to use for putting seal in. It is on the service manual.

It got covered but i did get warned it was only going to get covered once. Im starting to worry that they wont do a recall on this and i will be going through engines every 4k miles. Hopefully they figure this out.

The tsb/recall process could be sped up if people filed complaints with the NHTSA. You need to create a paper trail with adequate documentation before most companies begin to even take notice...

I am a Toyota tech I just replaced these seals on a customer car. #1 Teflon seal was missing/burned off. I would recommend you use special service tool, seal does get stretched on installation special tool helps to install correctly.

How many FR-Ss does your dealership service? What percentage had this problem?

Rough estimate is fine.

Normally how many cylinders have seal missing or burned off? If only a specific location has the problem then it is maybe some source of manufacturing defect; other wise this is worry some. This car has so many problems!
