I don't know what it is, but that ECU and those cooling fins are so sick to me. Such an awesome build, I could only wish I had this type of know how and abilities

The ECU is a OEM GM E92 ECU. I love the way it looks too. Just get a project and lern as you go, or take some classes that challenge you and pushes you to develop new skills, and you will be right up there with the best of them over time.

Thanks. Now I'm deciding between 1.75" Dom round or 2.5 square tubing. I like the look of the round, but either one would work.

Round tubing would be better if you have the tools to work with it. I'll be using 1.75" for most of my front crossmember.

What wall thickness are you using? I have .095 available I was thinking to use that. I have the tools. Watching your build. I like it a lot. I want to do a similar rear subframe to the one you did, but for a Winter's quick change diff. Mine would be a bolt in unit.

All my tube is 0.102 wall, I mostly use 1.5" but the main hoop and part of the front crossmember is 1.75"

The jig is completed. I made it two pieces that bolt together.

I have begun working on the crossmember. What work has been done is mostly tacked up my welding machine is acting up. Hopefully I get it completed next week.

Out of the jig, but not finished yet. Needed to weld it in it's current state of build, then back to the jig to add the final parts

I have gotten further along with the crossmember. It weighs 30 lb. My stock one weighs 26lb with the two connectors that bolt below / behind the firewall and to the crossmember. This weight is also without motor mounts and the mount tabs cut off. I still need to add the two connectors that are on my stock crossmember but not on the one I made yet. I'm thinking 36lb when it's complete with motor mounts. It's a little heavier, but I think it will be stronger, and most important I will have more clearance.
