Yeah my commute has changed a lot too. From 150 miles a day, to 2 miles, to 50 miles, and now 15 miles lol

NorthStar NSB-AGM-35 ($270, better performance)
Odyssey 35-PC1400 Battery ($250, Great performance, will be a tight fit)
Intimidator 9A35/85 ($175ish, better price and performance)
Duralast Platinum 35-AGM ($199, better performance, Johnson Control made like Optima)

Anything in () is comparing it to the stock battery.

Well, OKaaaa. - my next question was going to be why didn't you move or change jobs. -

One of my dumber "moves" was giving up a four state research rep job, with a company car, working (traveling out of my home) in southern San Jose, CA and taking an managers job in an office, in regulatory affairs in Richmond CA.

Now THAT was a nasty commute, up along the east bay every day and back. Yep, I finally caved and moved to Danville.

Had good luck with duralast gold in my other vehicles. Think I may put that in when it becomes time. Nothing worst than to get stranded with dead battery in the middle of no where.

They seem to always act up on me around the 4 and 5 year mark.

Crazy the price of battery has almosted doubled in recent years.

When time to replace a battery I've always gone with a Red Top. Its a dry battery and seems to last for years without issues.

When's the last time you bought one? Lots of complaints the last few years about their quality taking a dive it seems. I was gonna get one but saw a lot of talk on various car forums.

I agree. Back in the 90's the "red top" was the go-to battery (had on in my prelude), but now I don't know anyone that is running one.

I'm just looking for a bigger data pool. Would be nice if they had got their stuff together again lol.
