Just tried flashing with the file in the 2012 directory, no other files in that folder. When it flashes, it shows in the log that its using the correct definition file. When finished it still returns the checksum routine start refused. =|

One thing I did notice that is not in the D00C definition that exists in all others is the checksum line (line 39 indicating subarudbw). I'm wondering if I should manually write this value to the definition and retry...

Ok found the problem.

their is an error in the definition file for your rom.

The Checksum routine method is not specified

<flashmethod>subarubrz</flashmethod>

<memmodel>SH72531</memmodel>

<checksummodule>subarudbw</checksummodule>

add the line in bold to your definition after the "memmodel" line and it should be fine or copy it from say a D00G def, just that one line though.

the stock rom has the correct checksum so you were able to flash it

however the oft rom must have needed the checksum corrected but ecuflash never checked due the missing line in the definition for your rom. you must be one of the first guys flashing a D00C rom.

I will contact @Td-d so he can correct it on github

I submitted a commit in github (I use github for many other things )

He will see the review request and can merge my fork as a commit into the xml.

I think the answer to this question is in here somewhere, but I am more than a little paranoid about screwing up my car so here goes.
On the OFT site there is a link for Romraider definitions for use with the V1.xx tunes. It comes with a warning not to use them with V2.xx tunes.
There is no link for definitions to use with the V2.xx tunes.
Can someone please explain where to find these in clear, precise, un-screw-up-able terms?

They actually included everything you need to flash and safely edit the tune?
What's up with that? Pretty sneaky being all efficient and stuff.

A K00G is really a K00G, there isn't anything edited inside the rom.
The danger is when you take (as example) an OFT 700G rom with a RomRaider def, because the OFT 700G rom is actually an A01G rom edited to 700G and it has modified code inside the rom to have Launch Control and Flat Foot Shifting.
