Anyone have any suggestions for a multipurpose brake pad, for lapping Castrol, auto x, and daily driving? Stock rotors.

You are and have been missing out on some extremely fun driving then!!!
Car is awesome in the winter (with winter tires of course). Can't think of a more exciting time when the snow starts to fall and getting out there in my BRZ!!

That was my original plan, drive it all year round. Then started modding too much and it would be a tad undrivable in its current state haha. Have a '97 STI winter beater to bomb around in but its definitely not nearly as fun as the FRS

Looks like i'll be moving to Edmonton in May.

I am under the impression western edmonton is a good place to look for an apartment?

Job hunting looks easy out there too.

Not sure about an apartment but the west/south side are nice. There are a bunch of really nice condos near century park with great LRT access to university/downtown etc if needed.

Im REALLY generalizing here so no one take offence.

Generally you can see Edmonton's wealth distribution kinda goes highest in the SW -> NE which has a lower level of wealth. That being said there are wonderful neighborhoods across the entire city. I live more in the south central-ish area (around southgate) and love it. Whyte, though not the nicest area in parts, is a pretty central area to move to if you're a bit younger. Closer to the U of A the nicer. Most newer areas on the outskirts are fine too.

Areas to REALLY avoid, though, would be Beverly, Chinatown (though there have been a few nicer buildings go up here, would still avoid), certain parts of Claireview, 118th ave, Abbotsfield. The NE just really isn't all that nice.

Personal opinion though, I'm sure some people live in those areas and like it. West end in general is fine for apartments.. Around West Ed though I've heard its not that nice.
