Where'd you go Walmart or Jiffy Lube? Did the give you a hard time getting them to pay?

previous owner took it to jiffy lube. they refused to pay. the previous owner towed it to toyota and was quoted 8500 for the fix. He sold the car to toyota as is for cheap and toyota fixed it and sold it to me with free warranty since they worked on it.

You lucked out, the original owner should have lawyered up as there are tons of Jiffy Lube screwed me over posts.

I was searching for frs in socal for 4 months and I called the dealership the day they posted it on cars.com. I got lucky with it. I took it to toyota dealer near me for recall and since they had the engine out to do the recall, they gave me a deal on my clutch replacement. I only paid 400 for clutch replacement. This is my weekend car so i don't drive much but always good to have maintenance done.

Who is over 100,000 miles?

2013 FRS, on my 3rd motor.

1st motor died around 140k, not entirely sure what happened but something poked a hole through the block.

2nd motor was used from another 2013. When it was opened to perform the recall, a year later, the shop found damage to the rocker arms and cam shaft.

3rd motor is from a 2015, wish me luck lol.

105k. So far so good.

So who has the highest mileage now without any repairs? Major repair meaning anything other than regular maintenance greater than $200. Ie. engine replacement, transmission.

I guess it depends on what you mean by repairs. I am at 147,000 miles with only maintenance and recall work having been performed on the car.

I'm around the same (170,000 kms) with no repairs done (only regular maintenance as per recommended service schedule).

So my 2017 BRZ just broke 100K.

So far the major work that has been needed was the TOB and plugs.
Some minor things have been a squeaky clutch lever and sticking shifter. Both were fixed with a bit of lube.

Interior wise the leather on wheel is starting to wear (likely contaminated from one of the two trips to the body shop because it started in a spot where I don't usually keep my hands), the dash is just now starting to pull up over the center vents, and the metallic colored ring on the top of the shift knob has been worn down to raw plastic color.

Interestingly enough, I am still on my factory pads and rotors. Might be why the dampening springs in my clutch plate basically fell out when doing the bearing...

Well the plugs are scheduled maintenance so they really don't count but other than that my car is 100% the same as what you just described.

~175k kms (108k miles) and put about 2k on it since I bought it. Also popped a motor 2 weeks after purchase (spun bearing). Replacement motor is also a 2013 and has ~150k (93k miles) on it.

Did plugs, valve cover gaskets, front seal, TO bearing and a couple other things to the replacement before installing so hopefully she treats me better.

Sidenote: anyone have any good twin/couple names that I could use 1 for the car and one for the engine? Though I suddenly like 'Theresa May' because Theresa will be there but the motor "May" not.
