DVN + Front Plate.

For those who've ordered from DVN,

How was your front plate placed on the car? I asked them not to drill a hole in the bumper, so they're not placing anything on the front of the car for the plate...

For those who've ordered from another dealership,

Can you please send a picture of how your car front plate was mounted by them?

Found the Maple Scion bracket. But none others really. Lots of re-locaters.

Thanks.

Wietzes for me, front plate was in the trunk with the OEM front plate mount hardware. Just like I asked for and they were happy to accommodate.

I put it on with zip ties when I got home until I could come up with a better way to mount it.

Another option my dealership gave me was drilling the grill instead of the bumper.

But I'm pretty sure if you don't want your bumper to be drilled, the dealer won't drill it.

Theres 2 dimples for a plate bracket in the front grill. Meant for screwing in I've noticed.

They were great. No holes.

ordered from markville toyota~ (which i've been told is the same as DVN or something)

I asked them not to drill, they said ok. I came in to pick up my car with Grimmspeeds's Plate relocator and drove home.

DVN own's Markville totyota/scion.

However, they are different in terms of "managment" even though they come from the same PDI place, lol.

DVN sales consultants are assholes, we had to get one of our FR-S buddies who purchased there, telling us that they don't have "control" whether they can, or cannot drill the bumper, which is .

Just ordered from DVN this weekend, and I too would like to not have the bumper drilled. I have a few months to wait but since seeing this thread I will be paying a visit closer to delivery time to ask that they not drill.

Call them now and get it put on the order paperwork, then follow up closer to delivery.

Ordered from another dealer in Toronto.

I asked to not drill any holes in bumper. Car delivered with OEM bracket installed using two holes in grill.

Sorry about the unclear and uninformative pic, but it's the only one I took before bracket was moved down

It shouldn't come like that unless it was a trade in and another dealership drilled it in, just get another one, until you sign the final lease/finance/purchase papers you still have a choice to back out.

As for Markville saying they have no control that's BS, tell them if it comes with holes, don't call you until you have the one you want.

Just don't order from Maple Toyota, you should be fine. Use zip ties that'll do with the included mount. If it comes with holes (and it's written in contract that you don't want holes) you can always back out. Even if it's not written (since it's not the final paper work)

Imo, if you want this car, shop around. Theres 30+ people on the waiting list at DVN. Last allottment was only 4 cars. They get it once a month at least, if not 2 months. Do the math, you'll be waiting close to 1 year.

Took 5 months for me, and i ordered in june with only 8 on the list...

The car wasn't a trade in. I have the order summary since it went in production until it was delivered.

There was another car on the lot with the same installation.

I was gonna use the two holes in grill anyway.

Yes, then it didn't come like that since the factory doesn't install the plate mounts.

1. The car comes in clean from the factory to the dealership,
2. Automatic procedure is for the PDI service people drill plates AND/OR remove transportation film
3. Wax/aesthetics/cleaning
3. You come in to pick up vehicle
