True! Theory and reality can be different tho! reality I hit 155 and now only 137 common sense just tells me there gearing change the power factor so much it actually brought top end down when it should of raised it. In theory I should of been able to hit a high top speed. Air and the car shouldn't have had a difference!

Coming for a rock crawling back round. I saw the gearing was all wrong from the start with the 86. I had my old manual, mostly stock,on a 115F day up to 135. My auto car now with OTH and 4.67 rear end. Gets it to 130 fast, top end?

The gearing on my 2013 MT is just fine ...... for my type of driving.

However, I try to keep in under 130 MPH on the way to the grocery .....

The gearing is engineered for mileage and the acceleration required to drive like a normal human being in traffic also driving as normal human beings. That does not make it "all wrong".

That's what these cars will look like if you lean on them too hard.

I have a plan, still in the testing phase, to beat that at least on the drag strip. Gonna test any day now...

Gearing is fine imo. Pulls to 120 through all gears, no hesitation. 6th is an overdrive, doesn't do anything but mileage.
