I love the car like everyone else here but if you need 2 jobs to drive this car, you're a moron.

Maybe YOU don't like the civic but that doesn't make it a POS. They are reliable, have great gas mileage and score 8 out of 10 on most reviews.

Buy a bike or take the bus. It's probably best for everyone that you stay off the road. How do you have that many wrecks that are your fault?

Its people like you who give young people a bad name

glancing through this thread. What does working hard have to do with being a shitty driver?

Defensive driving folks. It applies to beaters and supercars. And if you wanna 'have fun', there are tracks for that.

He is young, so in order to get approved he probably needed that amount as well. typically credit criminals have to put a lot of money down on a lease in order to get approved.

- If the only way you can afford a car is to lease it, don't. Period.
- If you have a history of accidents and tickets, don't buy/lease a sports car until you can clean up your record.
- If you have to work two jobs just to drive a certain car my opinion is that your priorities are off.
- This car is like having a ball and chain strapped to you now. You need to find a way to get out of your lease and, as other mentioned, try some public transit for awhile until you can save up some money and get a used safe car. No matter what you drive your insurance is going to be crazy expensive, but at least buy a used car that you can pay cash for and not make payments on. You also wont need nearly as much insurance coverage.
- You clearly need to take more driving classes. I know you are in denial that the problem is not you, but it really is you. Talk to the insurance companies and the DMV and see if there is a way to get some points taken off if you take certain classes.
- If you do all the above and focus on finishing your school there is no reason why you cannot get a car like the FR-S later down the road. Now is clearly not the right time based on your past driving history and current income.

- Lastly, you need to be more humble and man up. You made the mess, you can clean it up. There is no easy solution here to keep your current car. You made some mistakes and you can correct them. It is just a damn car.

Anyone ever wonder what it would be like to actually meet people like the OP in person (of course after reading threads that they have started like this)?

I'm related to people like the OP.

It's usually just a phase before they figure shit out and take driving seriously.

YOU'RE PILOTING A 1.5 TON MISSILE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

We're all a bunch of children!? -- Jumping on the band wagon here, but when was anyone on this thread a child? Everyone, including myself, have been given you advice. All in all you just don't want to hear it.

This is what you wanted to hear:
"Oh, it's alright, get your car back and zoom down the road again! You have 2 jobs?! No problem, you work hard, you must be a good driver who knows how responsibility works. You work hard, you play hard. Am I RIGHT!? ALLLLLRIGHT! Get that sucker repaired and we'll see you on the road!!!"

Saddly, as everyone stated, this is not the case -- you need to learn that priorities take effect in life. You are young, get rid of this car. You should not be driving it. Finish school, take some extra driving lessons, learn to maintain your car (I read about your Trans-AM issue, and I think that's no one's fault but your own -- shitty brakes = driver having to deal with shitty brakes, fix'em). Once you do this, then buy a nice car. Until then -- please don't drive on the road, take a bus and grow up.

/off bandwagon

You aren't even close to high score yet. Your score isnt even as high as mine. I have 37 accidents and 24 cars totaled with 71 tickets.
