Could be a ton of things...

1) Is the car stock?

2) Have you ever hit a curb, gone over a dip/speedbump too fast?

Worst case, just take it into the dealer and drive along with a tech to point out the noise when it happens, that way the tech can throw the car up on the rack and check the cv joints, bump stops, axles, bushings, mounts, steering system, etc.

I purchased my BRZ Manual on Memorial day 2013. The door jam says the car was manufactured in February 2013. Does anyone know if any of the issues im reading about in the forms have been corrected before my car was manufactured? Also does anyone know what the 6th and 7th digit from the end of the VIN indicates? I notice a lot of them are 16 or 26.

Not sure if anyone knows about the noise when you three wheel it up a driveway. I'm on coils and if I three wheel up a driveway I hear an odd noise from the rear. Anyone know?

I'd guess it was just the limited slip differential making an adjustment ....

That is one impressive list, it will surely scare the crap out of any forum newbie... of course many items on the list are now old, I wonder how many have been redressed at the factory or by TSB work.

And there appear to be few items missing:

-fried injector seals
-side windows freezing up in winter

Two things I had on my car,

1. Went into limp mode. Had the DCU replaced and updated software. This was an issue on early cars and I don't see much talk on it now.

2. Had gasket on valve cover replaced. Noticed hot oil smell occasionally. Seems that bad gaskets still show up occasionally on cars. Not always the same place on engine. Manufacturing issues?

Any one know of a problem with the window screeching as it goes down? Mine was scratching my driver window so I came to the dealer to get it fix. I'm at the dealer right now and they said it's a service bulletin and they need to fix both side.

Hey, everyone. n00b here. I'm seriously considering the RS 1.0. I've been trying to find out if these issues are happening with the 2013-2014 models. I'm hoping they wont plague the 2015s. I've always subscribed to the 'never buy this first model' line of thinking, but the 1.0 is so sexy and I want to believe Toyota has accepted and taken care of these issues for at least the 2014s. Anyone around here have trouble-free 2014s?
