So after ~4 days on track with the replaced spark plug in Cyl #2.... I get P0353, for Cyl #3! Argh. Going to replace the coil pack and plug at the same time while I'm there...

So Cyl #2 now has a new plug and coil pack, and twice this past weekend @ TWS I got a P0300 & P0302 (random misfire and misfire cyl #2....) I'm not sure what else I can do at this point other than look at the injector seals.

Feasible?
Not feasible, they're coil on plug coils.

After about 2 dozen track days in this car, I have only had the issue once which was cylinder 1 directly over the unwrapped HKS header and it was close to 100 degrees ambiant. Am I just lucky or could the big vent in my Seibon hood have something to do with it?

I've always wondered about those vented hoods .. what happens when it rains?
can you not drive the car?

Highly doubt it. Lot more water can be splashed up from below of car when driving through water puddles or through front radgrill, then what may rain in through hood ventholes. Most important things should be watertight enough for that to not be an issue.

So sick of this. Replaced #1 twice now and #2 once.

There has been one trackday since then. Now I'm reading p0351 every time I'm at redline, and the car feels seriously underpowered.

Just ordered 2 new coil packs and a full set of spark plugs...

I'd search for cause for plugs to get fouled that frequent. Maybe something gone wrong with tune or intake or oil subsystem? (wild guesses, as what else can impact fouling?)

Took the car to @ and we wrapped the header, added a ground and went to 1 step colder plugs last Friday.

Then, at Sebring, we did some testing. Session 1 in the AM, ran for 15 minutes, no CEL. Session 3, mid-day around 1 PM, in the heat of the day, CEL came on towards the end of the session (~20 min in) for P0300 and P0302.

Then, we had the unique opportunity to test at NIGHT at Sebring, significantly cooler and making more power (shift points were noticeably sooner) and the CEL would "blink" on the long, high gear straights at high RPM, but no code would be thrown. We ran the car for about 1 hr 30 min with a 5 min break in the middle, with no code, so it does appear to be a heat issue, but need to find a better cooling solution.

Next step, maybe a CF vented hood?

So I've been driving like a grandma to prevent the CEL at higher RPMs .. for whatever reason I had a bad feeling about the stock battery
So I swapped out the (it actually went bad) stock battery and grabbed a deka intimidator grp 35 battery

I have yet to get the CEL at red line ... of course I don't know if this was what went wrong
I'll update if I get a CEL .. but for now nothing
Prior to the battery I was getting the CEL I'd say 85% of the time 6/7k RPMs

Test: 450 miles of downshifting into 3 4 5 at 4-7.4k rpms
Results: not 1 CEL

Theory: after ignition coils get worn in and used a small amount of resistance builds up and our Stock batteries goes down the gutter too .. I don't think the coils went bad but just don't get enough juice at higher rpms.
