You all can hold your breath until your face turns rally blue waiting for the BRZ to get a factory turbo/STI application, I'm not waiting! Im gonna run a Vortech supercharger and blow by all the stock BRZ's in a sideways drift, lol! That would be cool thoughif Subie released a 2.0T BRZ, I know that Toyota is building a TRD supercharger for the FR-S that has been confirmed.

Glad I am in no hurry to buy anything yet, the money will keep in the bank just fine. Plus the Focus ST3 is not out to compare yet. So I have nothing but time on my hands. I must say this will put the ball back in the BRZ must have column for me.

I imagine if you already have a BRZ you really do not want to hear any of this Turbo stuff at all.

Yeah, my friend spoke with one of the Subaru engineers visiting SoCal and he said the BRZ would NEVER get a turbo.

I'm VERY happy with the car in stock trim, and an extra 25-50 hp of bolt ons or cams (when they come out) will make the car perfect imo.

Also, adding a turbo, which would likely be on the STI version will likely put the BRZ in the high 30's. No thanks.

^This.

The turbo FA20 is currently planned (and I think may already be in use) in the JDM Legacy GT and will most likely show up in the next generation WRX/STI.

I thought the BRZ was a little underpowered till I was able to go storm some of the TN mountain roads... I'm happy with her as-is with no boost! Rear end came around when she needed to and made it a blast of a trip!

Of course they say "No turbo ever!". They aren't idiots. They're going to milk the NA for all they can, then when the hype starts to die down "New turbo 86!"

+1 to what TheRipler said. Nobody is that stupid to confirm that a BRZ / FR-S turbo is coming when they're trying to sell as many current models as possible.
