Tom's Cup Holder Alternatives?

Hey everyone.

I'm planning on purchasing the GT86 OEM arm rest and I'm looking for cup holder alternatives such as the Tom's Cup Holder.

I originally thought that it was RHD only but would still work on our North American cars on the passenger side.

However after looking more closer, I'm quiet positive that it won't work out due to the necessary gap that the cup holder slides into is in a lower position for the passenger.

Anyways, does anyone make high quality cup holders like Tom's in those kinds of positions?
(& yes, I know I have cup holder under the arm rest, but it kind of defeats the point of a arm rest if it will be open)

Some pictures of what the Tom's cup holder looks like. A lot of the Japanese owners love them.

Look wise i also liked Tom's best & was dissapointed it being RHD only. As for with covered center console with armrest, imho best location for coffee mug is door's bottle holder pocket. Heck, ergonomic wise it's even much better then stock holder location in center console - no more hitting drink with elbow or leaning back awkwardly to reach one with diverting eyes from road. Drink from doors can be easily reached w/o looking.
About only thing i "modded", added some polstering cut from foam with glued anti-skid-scratch felt (with sticky other surface) from furniture shop around. While initially used coffee mug fitted just right, one i used later on was of smaller diameter and rattled prior i added that polstering.

Yea, that's a nice addition to the RHD model.

If you knew of a competent 3D print person, you might be able to get it scanned, mirrored, and printed. I'm sure there would be others interested in it (like myself).

Imho even better would be to contact them and make real one for LHD. I don't think that 3d printed will have same quality/looks of finish or if making it on par will be worth the effort.

I made a cup holder that attaches to the seat rails. I would rather have a potential spill to be down low in the car rather than up on my dash. I used a boat cup holder.

I'm going to try this method out actually since it seems like the best alternative for me.

you can also glue to wrapping felt on sides of polstering some velcro + stick some of that felt also on door pocket's plastic walls. This way that DIY polstering will stick in there and won't come out with coffee mug out (if tight fit) but also will not be permanently fixed / can be removed with relative ease.

I just got the ebay armrest...its a little leather/alcantara pillow pad that elastic band wraps around the cup holder. Looks great and it was only $15.
