oem is a quasi halfassed halfbaked midbass thing. Basically just putting in what they thought they were putting in.

I have a US shipping address in Blaine WA if that helps

That sounds really interesting. I've been toying with the idea of finding a good set of 7"s for the door and buying a little amp and calling it a day. Keep us posted!

What ever happened to the factory sub that was supposed to be available in the late 4th quarter of 2012?

Just got an email from JL Audio:

We are expecting the 10Tw3-D4 to come in by the end of the month. The 12Tw3-D4 is to be announced at a later time.
I'm holding out for this one as opposed to just getting the OEM Audio Plus.

Haven't read everything here but will this box be available empty? If so what is the volume of the box and mounting depth available to the sub?

I want a 10w6.

I have a slash series amp that will be (and has been in the past) PERFECT. The slash series is amazing.

Oem audio plus is gonna give you a better system over all for about the same price after you get an amp and wire kit for the stealth box

I heard the, at the time, yet to be released complete system from OEM audio in the staycrushing rocketbunny car and was really impressed, he went the through a huge range of music genre and all sounded great, not the heavy bass from 2 12" subs but if that's what your expecting then all these boxes are going to disappoint you.. His system had doors tweeters and all and sounded great.. Made me second guess going the stealth box way, just because of total cost.. My POLK MOMO carbon amp would push this JL sub just fine, and my 4ch alpine amp will push the kids and highs.. I just love the simplicity of the plug and play for OEM, the quality surprised me enough that its in consideration.. I've just seen some hate on OEM and there shouldn't be..

If you already have the highs and kids and stuff the stealth is deffiently the way to go..

They sell it as a set, the box will be tuned perfectly for the 10TW3. Also, the 10TW3 has a mounting depth of 83 mm, betting the 10W6 is at least double that.

I pick up my FR-S in two days and am trying to figure out ways to fit my 12" JL in... will this box fit a 12?

How shallow is your twelve? Rhetorical because it's more than likely not shallow at all. The JL Audio Power Wedge is 10" and specifically made to be shallow and this box works with that concept. Otherwise I'm seeing 8" subs being used in the trunk as a more optimal choice. Mmmmmm 12"...
