I was behind a white FRS yesterday afternoon in the Ballantyne area. Female driver with a Hawaii island/sea turtle decal? Anyone here?

I'll definitely be out. I've missed the past 2-3 C&C's.

I visited Charlotte last weekend to find an apartment. I noticed there were a lot of speed bumps in the residential roads. I was planning on lowering my car 1 inch but now I am worried it will scrape every time I go over a bump. Anyone here that's lowered and willing to give some input?

Can't speak for Charlotte, but I have scraped in Mooresville, dropped on 1" springs. Only 1 speed bump has gotten me....so far. My wife says I had a big grin on my face when we heard the scrape, still got some minitrucker in my blood, lol. Hasn't really been an issue, but I am careful, and try to judge how hit they are, and if I need to go at an angle or not.

depends.. most of the speedbumps are those 20 mph ones. i'm running a 1" drop and i never have any issues scraping on those. I've seen some I don't wanna try, but not too much in the residential neighborhoods. I've seen some apartment complexes with some nasty speed bumps too. just fyi.

honestly, if i go somewhere and their speedbumps are too dangerous for my car, that place isn't worth my time ;-)

This might be a little early to ask but I might be in Charlotte, NC a few days before the 86EXPO event in VA beach. Will you guys be organizing a Caravan to cruise there?

I've never had an issue, I'm lowered about an inch and a half (I think), but my previous/other cars have been/are really low, so I tend to drive this one as if it's super low.

Edit: Picture of the project car for reference lol

Thanks for the input. I'll haul the springs down with me and install later this summer.

Edit: I was also very pleasantly surprised with the lack of front plates.

Yeah the lack of a front plate is super nice. We don't have inspection stickers to put on the windshield either.

Spring are a super easy install on these cars, only took me a couple hours, much quicker than doing the suspension on my GTI.
