Finally, got around to installing my diff I got off ebay with the 4.67weir gear set. As a note, if you have a Perrin exhaust be prepared for one of the clamps to get mess up on you and have extras on hand.
Now I have a auto tranny and drive in sport mode most of time. I also have OFH and OFT. The car goes through the gears much faster now, hitting red line fast. Turning on to the main road, the inside tire even chirped a little. And that was only with about a half throttle. The car feel locked in to the gears more, down shifting very aggressively. Yes, There was a bit of noise from the gear set but nothing that was to concerning. Getting on and off the throttle you could hear the change in pitch, but there was a smooth transition in the sound indicating the gear set was set up pretty good. Anyone looking for more performance out of the car this is a definite must do! In fact I'm already thinking of a new set of gears and limited slip for my spare differential. Oh, and thank you for Dustin for the fantastic write up on how to remove the diff without removing the axles.

Thanks for the review, glad to hear it went well and you are liking it. I am thinking 4.88 on the AT. Would be slightly even more aggressive.

My 4.44 just came in from MFactory, cant wait to install it. My car is boosted so I didn't want to go real aggressive. The slogan on the side of the box is "The Replacement for Displacement" I got a kick out of that.

Cusco 4.55 kit
Hi everyone! Could you please advice me about that "shims" not included in cusco kit (It tells you all the shims you will need in order to shim the final drive tolerance. I bought all 22 because each car will be different. We only use 1 so that means you will have 21 left over.)
What kind of shims are needed exactly with stock diff? |

I actually was looking to go to a 3.91 out of the IS250 so I bought an entire unit off Ebay for like $100 with an open LSD so I could swap in an aftermarket LSD. I'm assuming everything about the diff is the same as what we have so it's just a matter of getting right parts to shim it correctly.

Just one question from me, Im currently running about 194whp with e85 tuned on MT. Im facing one issue is that when I shift red-line from 5th gear to 6th gear. Right after im in 6th, the car just doesn't accelerate, it feels like the car is out of power due to the ratio of the 6th gear. So my question is if I change to 4.55 ratio, will I be able to accelerate and go faster after 210km/h ? With my current setup, my top speed maxed out at 218km/h with RPM of 5600-5700.

That max speed limit might be due ECU firmware limiting max speed and not letting for throttle to be fully open after said gear/rpms (no clue, if it can be fixed with tune or not). While you'll improve acceleration (in 6th and other gears) to get there, max speed itself will be even lower, due you reaching those rpms at lower speed due different final drive ratio. As in normal legal daily driving or on track with lot of corners and not too much straights one can rarely reach max speed, for most final drive install is worth it. If you reached max speed even on stock final drive, then maybe it's worth reconsider to install it or not, if max speed matters more then acceleration to get there ..
