@subiestyle
It is a rebranded K&N filter so if you buy their cleaning kit it should have the cleaner and oil you need to maintain it. If I recall correctly it needs to be cleaned around 50k miles |

Most likely, if it were std correction, like most other dynos here, and a 5th gear pull (4th gear dynos less and 5th is 1:1) it would have been well into the 180's whp. Not too bad for a car with no header or tune. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk |

Question:
How long does it take the ECU to "relearn" the intake? I installed mine today. I guess I didn't know what to expect, or maybe my expectations were misguided, but I really didn't notice any difference at all. The throttle response seems about the same. I only drove it about 5 miles or so around town so I can't speak for top end power gains. Low end gains may have been slight but I'm not sure if thats just the placebo effect. The cabin is a bit quieter with the resonator delete. |

1-2 full tanks. Give it WOT during the learning period and you'll notice the difference in improved throttle response and smoothed midrange torque curve at the (worthwhile) expense of fuel economy.

^^^Good to know! Thank you.
I had no idea it took that much driving. I'll report back in couple weeks. I go through about a tank per week commuting back and forth to school. |

Glad to help. I'd add that if your engine is fully broken in, then make those WOT sprints to redline in lower gears and shift more often than usual.
It's been my experience that this method works well at track days when the day before the event I swap out batteries to a lightweight racing battery that resets the ECU. By the end of the track day the car is running much stronger than the beginning and not just from the fuel weight loss. Also, a couple of weeks ago I replaced the stock intake before returning to the dealership for the crickets TSB. The reduced driveability and throttle response was very noticeable. The TRD CAI might not produce much more power, but the other benefits including a quieter cabin are worth it. |

(Sorry I read through the whole thread and couldn't find anything maybe i missed it IDK I rarely ever get on here so im not too familiar with forums. I think the intake would make a great pair with the TRD Exhaust but that's just me.) |

No problem! I will be getting more graphs with other mods that I do as they arrive (and I have time)... I'll update this thread with them if I think of it.

Cool, I'll be looking forward to it if you do decide to! (Damn I just noticed that it does say you had the TRD Exhaust in your dyno post. I must've skim and scanned too quick and missed it.)

Just swapped out my aem cai for the trd and I'm completely happy. Butt dyno feels the same, and no more annoying trips to the dealership for them to lecture me about how my after market exhaust is causing CEL
