I think it was already stated somewhere before that this would just be a design concept like the FR-S concept and wouldn't be a great indication of what the production model will look like.

like others have said im not holding my breath on this one. its just a concept. Its a nice hope/dream.

edit:on the other hand if it does come out like this even with the same power ill take it.

if they massage the engine to make more power then sure i'd say that's a real STI. but if they just add cool wheels, brakes, and a wing and call it a STI i dont personally see it as such. i see it as pimping the STI name in order to get some motorsport street cred... this concept? looks more like the latter at this point... but there are rumors of a "under 300 hp" BRZ so there's a chance i guess!

Three cars all the same under the hood just with different names is lame

Knowing Scion there will be a tone of style options and any performance will be after maket.
Subaru (clams) an STI version so that means stock turbo models (hopfully)
Toyota well in my opion looks the best (thats just me) and since there all the same car under the hood ill just pic off each off there others and then hit the after markets haha!

Thats what I see from past trends but as the saying goes well cross that bridge when we get there
