Aftermarket Headlights Questions
I am currently in the market to buy aftermarket headlights for my 2019 Subaru BRZ. I've been looking around all over and I found these https://www.vland-carlamp.com/LED_He..._19326281.aspx. I was wondering if anyone have bought these for their car, don't know if it's plug and play or if I have to cut some wires.

Welcome to the forum. The search button is your friend. It is especially good to scan the first page at minimal. In this case you would have found a thread on Vland headlights just half way down the screen.
https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135751 I don’t know why you would be interested in these lights over your stock headlights. They are a significant downgrade in quality and the headlights are almost identical. Unless you crashed your car or broke your stock headlights and need a cheaper alternative, the purchase doesn’t make much sense. Used MY17+ headlights are typically $600+ a side on eBay in good condition, which demonstrates their superiority. The MY17+ lights are full LED, so there might be a need to repin if the adapters in the kit doesn’t include something for the newer BRZs. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125549 The Vlands are plug-n-play on MY13-16 BRZs without any need for adapters. The FRSs need the adapter and to splice wires. I don’t know about the newer BRZs, but there are more adapters in the kit. Some people received these headlights with a H7 halogen bulb. I didn’t, yet the housing will fit the H7, which I bought, but it seems to be designed for a D2H HID kit, which I will be installing on my Vlands, so I can improve the light output. The stock MY13-16 BRZ headlights use high quality D4S HIDs.

Also if you aren’t a fan of the stock LED headlights, as I hear of complaints on light output, maybe consider a LED bulb upgrade or installing HIDs in their place before jumping into Vlands.

I've got a 2019 GT86 and was wondering the same thing about the VLANDs. Also if you do get the VLANDs, wanna sell me your stock headlights? I've got that "boomerang" DRL envy.

None of those are gonna be better than stock. You guys with MY2017+ cars have LED headlights which are honestly better than any aftermarket headlight i dont understand why you guys want a downgrade...

Better light/quality and so on wise, yes. But looks/likes are subjective things. For example from all the designs i like most valenti style curved lights, from which MY2017's looks like bad/partial copy of. Even if of better quality, but subjectively looking worse. And then there comes price of OE ones. If worst happens, and they need to be replaced (eg. due crash damage), OE lights extraorbitant pricing cuts really deep.

Just FYI, LED headlights will likely NOT out perform HIDs. However, I do like the LED turn signals on the Vlands and MY17+ headlights. They look more modern than the halogen/reflector signals on the older headlights, even with the LED replacement I had for my turn signals.
