Those damn red shoulder flares on the seats. Seeing those after opening the door is like going on an Internet date and finding the guy/gal is 20 pounds heavier and five years older than their photo implies. I understand that Toyota and Subaru will never win any beauty contests, but why do they punch themselves in the face?

Really hating the weak front bumper on this thing... 4300 miles and my bumper is massacred with rock chips

My 530i has less rock chips and it's 11 years old!

Yep, every time I open the door and see those red flares, it reminds me of back in the old Army when the EOD men had to be radioed because of a "cook off" (when a live round was stuck in the hot barrel of the main gun on a tank or a 106mm RR).

They would arrive by chopper, jump out with their red flared jackets and proceed to first look down the barrel, then open the breech .... then slam the breech closed and hit the firing button and do again till that sucker went off.

Crazy SOBs! You only get ONE of those suckers going off in your face!

So, the red seat accent means different things to different people.

humfrz - flashen back ....

Lmao, this.

If you want to get rid of this though, just hold on to exterior metal parts of the car as you slide in.. works for me every time.

My car doesn't have those . It's like you find someone on the Internet & she's a complete hottie in real life

I think that depends on the exterior color. I really like them on the Firestorm, but agree it would go as well with other colors.

It also reminds me of the MK1 MR2 seats, which tugs at my automotive heart a bit. It is a shame that they didn't color key the seats like they did in 1985 where the seat accent matched the external color of the car.

Red accents all over the cabin. I want brown leather Katskinz and the red stitching everywhere is irritating. I feel like I just got into someone's riced-out Civic. It would cost an arm and a leg to have everything re-stitched in grown-up colors and I hate dying and painting OE parts:-(
