Damnit!!! Why!!!
I was driving across the street on a green and another car ran the red and he got hit by my car. He ran the red. No one was injured thankfully, but I'm pretty bummed out about my car.
I had a few minor modifications to the car including HIDs, and switchback turn signal lights, will this have any affect on my insurance claim? What does everyone think of the damage. No air bags were deployed. This sucks. Last edited by Cliu91; 01-09-2015 at 02:33 PM. |

Looks purely cosmetic.
Your hood to fender line gap on the pass side still looks ok. |

were any of the things you had installed illegal (dont answer that if so)? I'd imagine they'll pay to replace with all new OEM parts. It doesn't look like it got into the structure much if at all, so I think it should be a pretty easy repair. Sorry about the car though

Well you're alive, so that's great
Also I was taught in defensive driving to always wait a second or two before going through a green light, just in case. I even slow down and check left-right-left when approaching an intersection. It doesn't look like any major damage, to be honest. Just a new front bumper. Time to check out body kits? |

I hope you made a police report and that it states the other driver "ran the red" otherwise you hit them and you are potentially at fault.

Have to agree with this guy. Looks like your car deployed the black Samurai sword. Maybe another hidden feature.

Yes I told the police that he ran the red. I also told my insurance that the other driver ran the red and provided them with two witness's contact information. |

Like everybody already said should be an easy fix.
The front bumper did exactly what it is designed to do and sacrificed it's self to protect you. It is a hero! Insurance will not pay for your mods unless you added them to the policy but it looks like they may be able to save the lights and of course the tails are fine. Pain in the ass but not horrible.

Ice salt. Melts through the ice to allow better traction. If no thick amount of ice over the surface, it still provides traction. But depending on the chemicals used, it may cause rusting underneath your car. That's why rustproof undercoating is offered at time of vehicle purchase.

HA HA HA HA HA
Californians make me chuckle sometimes! That stuff is the reason us northerners don't have to spend all winter either walking or in the ditch. It is also the reason we get to buy new cars more often. It is sort of the same thing you have in all that water to the west of you.
