OFT tune now or after exhaust install?

Hi all, been lurking on the forum for a while now and finally balls'd up and ordered all my parts I wanted.

I have a oft but I am uncertain if I should run the stage one tune before or after my exhaust install.

I will be getting the parts installed at a mechanics, he was going to put it on the dyno and check the file to see if changes are needed, but to what extent I am not sure. (I have other parts getting installed so I thought why not do it all there)

Also is there anything I need to look out for with the australian fuel on the stage one tune?

If you can't tell already, I'm a bit green to all this car modding stuff so please go easy on me.

The exhaust set up I will have is:
HKS catted equal length headers
AVO overpipe
HKS uncatted front pipe
HKS hi-power spec-l catback system

Cheers

There's no issue with running stage 1 on a stock car; that's what it's designed for. There's also no issue with going from stock to stage 2 after a header install or from stage 1 to stage 2. What I wonder about is if there is an OFT tune for a catted EL header.

Here's a very helpful thread, plus the op has a lot of useful links in his signature.

Yeah that's what I thought. Flashed it yesterday and took it for a normal drive then tried to go for a spirited drive but there was a bit of traffic where I went I might play around with logging during the week on my drives to work.

Join the Aussie OFT/Tactrix groups on Facebook. There are a number of tune files available that have been altered for our fuels.
